# Tapaya > Tapaya is pan-European payment infrastructure for fintechs, PSPs and software > platforms. It lets them embed payment acceptance in their own products, in > person through Android SoftPOS (Tap to Pay) and dedicated payment terminals, > and online through Tapaya Checkout. Tapaya runs the onboarding, payments, > settlement and operations underneath. Partners integrate once, own the merchant experience under their own brand, and let Tapaya handle the payments complexity: acquirer connectivity, card-network certification, merchant KYB onboarding, settlement and operations. Their merchants get simple, reliable payments through the product or device they already use. Tapaya is a Czech company (Tapaya s.r.o., Prague) operating across 35 European markets; availability is per country, see Coverage below. ## Who it's for - **Fintech startups** building their own merchant payment product, without building card acceptance, certification and acquiring from scratch. - **PSPs, acquirers, processors and payment facilitators** adding SoftPOS or terminal acceptance to their offer, including on their own acquiring and processing rails. - **ISVs, SaaS and vertical software platforms** (POS, hospitality, field service, retail, marketplaces) embedding payments into their software under their own brand. - **Teams building Android POS apps** that need certified contactless acceptance inside their app. - **Platforms rolling out across several European countries** that want one integration, one merchant onboarding and one settlement for all of them. - **Merchants and e-shops** taking payments directly on a phone, tablet or Tapaya-supplied device, and online on the same account. ## Ways to accept payments - **SoftPOS / Tap to Pay on Android**: a commercial Android phone, tablet, kiosk or enterprise handheld (Android 11+, NFC) becomes a contactless payment terminal, with PIN entry on glass. PCI MPoC certified. Integrated through the Tapaya Accept SDK (native Android, or React Native), or by deeplink to the Tapaya Terminal app for apps that can't embed the SDK (WebView, Flutter, web tills). Tested devices are listed in the docs. - **Dedicated payment terminals**: Tapaya's payment application on supported PCI PTS-approved payment terminals from PAX, Nexgo and Sunmi. Support is per model and configuration, not every model a manufacturer sells; confirm the exact models for a deployment with Tapaya. - **Tapaya-supplied SUNMI devices**: SoftPOS pre-installed on SUNMI V3 handheld, T3 desktop POS and D3 mini counter devices, for merchants who'd rather not hand a customer their own phone. - **Online payments (Tapaya Checkout)**: Hosted Checkout (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or Embedded Checkout (secure card fields in your own page, cards only for now), from the `@tapayadot/checkout` Node.js SDK or the REST API. Available in sandbox; not yet in production. All channels run on one platform: one partnership, one SDK/API family, one merchant onboarding (KYB), one dashboard, one settlement. ## Key facts - Android SDK: `com.tapaya:accept` on Maven Central (latest version: https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/tapaya/accept/maven-metadata.xml). Android 11+, NFC required, Google Play Services not required. React Native package: `@tapayadot/accept-react-native`. - Online SDK: `@tapayadot/checkout` on npm (Node.js 22.13+, ESM, TypeScript). - Platform API: merchant onboarding (KYB), payments, refunds, reporting and payouts, as a REST API (OpenAPI 3.1) or through the Tapaya Platform UI. - Coverage: Tap to Pay on Android in 35 European markets across the EEA, Switzerland, the UK and nearby territories; online checkout in the same markets. Being in the EU does not by itself mean a country is live: check the country list, and confirm currencies and acquiring for each market before committing to a rollout. - Sandbox: self-service, no sales call or invite required; sandbox merchants are auto-approved. Production merchants complete KYB and processor approval, typically within 48 hours. - In-person merchant pricing: from 1.39% blended (no per-transaction minimum), or Interchange++. No monthly or hardware fees. D+2 payouts across the EU and GB. Platform and online pricing are quoted per business. - Not supported or not established today: iOS SoftPOS, offline payment acceptance, Checkout in production, Checkout webhooks. - Status: launching, onboarding partners via early access. - Recognition: winner of the Digital category at Startup Awards Slovakia 2025; PAY360 Awards 2026 finalist; part of Mastercard Lighthouse FINITIV Spring 2026; NVIDIA Inception member. ## Get started - [Start in the sandbox](https://platform.tapaya.com/): technical evaluation, self-service, no invite required - [In-store (Tap to Pay) quick start](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/getting-started/quick_start_guide): from SDK install to a first test payment - [Online payments quick start](https://docs.tapaya.com/online/getting-started/quick_start_guide): first Checkout payment in a few server calls - [Discuss your payment infrastructure](https://tapaya.com/en/contact): commercial, acquiring, terminal models and multi-country rollout questions - [For platforms and partners](https://tapaya.com/en/partners): partnership model and integration overview ## Developer docs - [Docs home](https://docs.tapaya.com) - [Docs index for agents](https://docs.tapaya.com/llms.txt): full version at https://docs.tapaya.com/llms-full.txt - [Mobile SDK integration (Android and React Native)](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/integration/sdk_integration) - [Tapaya Terminal app integration (SDK and deeplink)](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/integration/card_terminal) - [In-store API integration and merchant authentication](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/integration/api_integration) - [Testing and sandbox](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/getting-started/testing) - [Production QA checklist](https://docs.tapaya.com/in-store/getting-started/checklist) - [Online Node.js SDK reference](https://docs.tapaya.com/online/integration/node_sdk) - [Platform API overview and authentication](https://docs.tapaya.com/platform-api) - [Platform API reference (Swagger UI)](https://api.tapaya.com/openapi/index.html) - [OpenAPI 3.1 spec (raw JSON)](https://api.tapaya.com/openapi/v1.json): mirrored at https://tapaya.com/openapi.json - [Machine-readable API catalog (RFC 9727 linkset)](https://tapaya.com/.well-known/api-catalog) - [MCP server setup](https://docs.tapaya.com/mcp-server): search the docs and REST API from AI coding tools;
